52 Recipes
Hawthorn left me a comment on one of my ‘Pimp My Menu’ posts, saying that Colour It Green was doing the rather ambitious project of trying out fifty-two new recipes in 2010. After a bit of thought – well, OK, hardly any thought at all as I always like trying new cookery bits and bats, I thought I might join in. So, this is where I’m going to post the things I try. First up: last night I rather sadly watched MasterChef, and after the usual derisory remarks about badly-judged menus, hideous professional chefs and the utter terror of working in an atmosphere which can be best described as combative, I rather fancied the dish that the presenter chappy cooked. I can’t for the life of me remember its name, and Google isn’t feeling very helpful (possibly because my search-chi appears to be rather off today, with terms like ‘auberginey tomatoey thing on telly last night’ leaping to the forefront of my mind), but it involved aubergines, tomatoes, various spices and some, er, well, some other things I forget just now. Anyway, I will be attempting this shortly, and, gods willing, I’ll report back. (If you don’t hear anything, I’ve poisoned us all.)
