Lentil lovelies

Wossinit
- lentils, either red or green
- water (a little under a pint)
- a large onion
- a knob of butter
- 4 oz cheddar, chopped into dinky chunks
- a large sprinkle of parsley, rosemary, basil, and whatever else you fancy
- a large egg
- two pieces of bread, crumbled up
- a good sprinkle of black pepper
- a handful of sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and pine kernels
- a chopped leek

Then…
Boil the lentils in the water until they’re soft and the water has been absorbed. Fry up the onion with the leeks and the herbs, then sling all the other ingredients in and stir it all up together. Press it into an oiled tin and stick it into the oven at about 180°c for about half an hour. V. g. hot or cold.
